New Hair

Skirt: Forever21, Blazer: Macy's, Blouse: Forever21, Bag: Margot

I am kind of in love with mixing bright, bold colors with black or more neutral colors. I find it to be a great balance and can cheer your mood up during the Autumn season! I am glad to have chosen this location to photograph my outfit also because the green color on the skirt goes so well with the background!

I had my hair chopped off for my birthday. It was pretty daring for me because I haven't had my hair this short since my elementary days! Thanks to the wonderful hairstylist, Mae Mlo, my hair turned out exactly the way I wanted it to be! Come visit her at Hair Experts Salon to get your hair done. Mae is very talented and cares very much about her clients. She literally spent 30 minutes prepping me and making sure that I was ready before cutting my hair off. I am so happy to have taken this risk because I prefer this new look. My hair is much lighter and dries so much faster! She also styled it for my birthday celebrations that night (which was a masquerade theme). I will share photos with you all soon!

In New York

Faux Leather Skirt: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses: H&M, Top: Express

Well hello there! It has been too long! A lot has been going on lately and with my busy schedule, it's becoming harder and harder to capture my everyday outfits before the sun sets. So I'm thinking of coming up with a new format for my blog that will also keep it more interesting. In addition to my usual posts, I am considering maybe featuring more closet visits and interesting outfits or people I may run into during my daily routines.

With that being said, above are photos captured during my visit to New York and New Jersey during my Fall break for Kpop concert. The experience was insane and worthwhile. Yes, I admit it, I can be a crazy fangirl too :D We were there for 4 days, which is never enough... I learn and see new things with every visit. Oh, how I can't wait to pursue my career there one day. One day...

So Long Summer

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

This outfit was worn last week and I believe it was my last glimpse of summer. I love this fringe scarf but didn't know how to wear it. I decided to simplify my outfit with a white tee and cut off shorts to balance the fringe and detailing on the scarf. The scarf is actually an outline of a peacock. I forgot to take a photo of the entire scarf unfolded to show. Hopefully, I'll find ways to incorporate it into other outfits to show you!

This week, in our department, is Residence Executives Week. So yesterday, I was invited to attend the Creative Leadership Workshop. 20 attendees were chosen by the Dean so I felt very honor to be apart of this event. Today, Kelly Cox, a former free-lance designer I used to model for and the current designer of Peaches N' Cream (childrenswear). It was so good to see her again and learn about the thing she does. Interning at VF, I can relate and understand the things she was describing. So it's reassuring to know that apparel companies, although very different, can function similarly. So it's great to know that I am gaining an experiences that will be beneficial to my career.
