I'm Having A Magenta Day

I noticed a growing trend in my recent blog entries. I've been wearing lots and lots of pinks and magenta! I don't usually wear lots of bold colors but for some reason, lately, I've been so attracted to them. I'm starting to experiment with mixing all the colors together. Color blocking can be really fun to play with!

These are some of my latest consumption. Vietnamese Grilled Pork with rice (Com Thit Nuong), Vietnamese Crepe (Banh Xeo), Daddy's yummiest Flan and Orange Sesame Balls. I actually am craving them all as I'm updating my blog! Which reminds me, I need to go grab some lunch! :)

The Beauty of Abandoned Things

Yesterday was so much fun! A few of my girl friends, little sister, and I came across a local Indie market, First Friday Indie Market and saw so many neat treasures. I ended up purchasing a pair of vintage earrings. I'll have to wear it out and snap a photo to share with you all because it is the neatest pair of earrings I've ever seen! But Wow! I was in love with so many things there. Next time! When I carry more cash with me!

I'm so happy to tell you all that with everyone's help and support, I am one of the 5 finalists to select Wrangler's Next Blue designer. I am so appreciative of this opportunity and cannot wait to share my experience with you all! All of the 5 finalists will meet on April 14-16 to pitch our ideas and present our design. After that, there will be a final voting in which the public will decide who the final winner will be. The date for that will start on the 19th and voting ends on the 26th. I will update you all on what's to come. This is very exciting for me and I can't thank everyone who've supported me enough. Thank you all!

Yesterday, I received all of the information and materials in a messenger bag that Wrangler have provided to help us in creating our designs. I was super excited to find all of these useful materials because everything was what I was looking for and was planning on going out to purchase them if it wasn't provided. How great is that!

Spinning Into Spring

Today was so pretty and the weather was just perfect. The best feeling is when you're driving with the windows down in the cool evening and that perfect breeze is blowing through your hair.

Spot The Dot

So I finally chopped my locks off on Tuesday and I was terrified! My hair was literally down to my waist. I've trimmed my hair here and there but haven't chopped my hair off this short in 8 plus years or so. I still can't believe I did it and of course am missing my long hair very much. But hair grows. I just hope it grows faster than ever this time!

Mom, can we share clothes?

Today was a high of about 75 degrees and the entire town couldn't wait to enjoy such beautiful weather (counting down till Spring break!). So I instantly wanted to pull out my pair of DIY denim. Although I had some strange glares here and there during the morning but I'm sure those same people soon found that I wasn't too crazy once the sun came beaming down. This vintage blouse was purchased at Design Archives. A wonderful shop to find all sorts of vintage goodies. When my mother noticed that I had purchased these blouses, her first response was, "Why are you wearing old ladies tops? You know I have a ton of these in my closet." My mother has a bunch of great stuff in her closet but she never wears any of them so now, we are officially sharing clothes :) I really like these sheer blouses. They are so comfy and great for the summer's heat.

Here's my latest shoe purchases. I absolutely cannot wait to wear those black thigh-high Steve Madden boots! It was such a good sale! My house is filled with shoes and no place to store them. I think we have enough shoes for 3 full closets. But that's not a reason to stop. Maybe a yard sale over the summer?

Oh, and about the couch, I found it randomly laying on the side of the road.
