I apologize for the late update because I'm still trying to adjust to my new schedule for this semester. Some of my favorite pieces from the outfits over this past week is the white, knit vest and the I really like how the blue denim Liz Claiborne shirt matches well with the burnt orange color. I don't usually like to match my shoes with my bottoms too often but I kind of like how these boots blended in so well with the creme Ralph Lauren jeans. I also want to thank my friend Vanvisa, for my faux leather shorts from Forever21. It fits very well because I don't like them to be too tight.

These L'Oreal Paris Infallible lip color are my new favorite. It is really great if you want to wear a red color because most usually will get on your teeth or fade off really easily. I wear these colors for an entire day and it'll fade a bit but the entire color never comes off. I love it so much and ended up purchasing 5. Make sure you use the lip moisturizer, the white stick, about a minute or two after applying the color because the color will peel off if you don't follow the proper instructions.

Although it's not Valentines yet but my sweetheart surprised me with a box of goodies last night when he came to visit. Little things like this makes most girls happy and I'm definitely one of them :)

No Rhyme or Reason

These are a combination of photos throughout the week. I really enjoyed taking photos of Leah that day. The lighting was perfect and her outfit is incredible isn't it? She found her dress at a vintage shop at the beach and promise to drag me along the next time she goes! She is such a sweetheart and a great person to be around.
P.S. I already have 2 projects assigned. One for my Design II class and the other for Apparel III so please excuse me if I do not update as often. To the ones who are still in school, hope you all are enjoying your classes for this semester!

Judy Pfaff is such a phenomenal artist! On Thursday, Leah and I went to a lecture by Judy Pfaff at the Weatherspoon Art Museum. If you have the opportunity, I would greatly recommend you to visit the Falk Gallery. Seeing the artist, hearing her story, and witnessing all of her work over the years left me in awe. I am mostly intrigued by her instillations. She incorporates the characteristics of sculpture, painting, and architecture to form dynamic works. After her lecture, I felt so inspired in a way I haven't felt before. It's an incredible feeling. I am determine to incorporate this kind of work into my designs for the fashion show this coming Spring. I can't wait to get working on them, if time permits me to!

1st Day

This is from the first day back to class for the Spring semester. We started Monday and lucky us, it started snowing! So today, the university is closed. But yesterday, I wore a thick knitted sweater I had received over Christmas from my loving sister. It was near freezing and the sweater surprisingly did a pretty good job keeping me warm. Oh and remind me not to wear open-toed boots when it's almost below freezing. What was I thinking? My toes felt like they were going to fall off! Above is my friend, Leah. She is the cutest and I really love the way she dresses. So casual and chic right? She's wearing a boy sweater (with an image of a wolf) and a pair of pants she purchased from H&M. Her awesome jacket is actually from American Eagle. Also, isn't the last image so neat? I don't know how I manage to get that effect when I captured the image and doubt I can recreate it either. All movements seem to be leading your eyes to the center.

My Way Or The Highway

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Yes, these pictures were taken at a dead end road next to a highway. It was a little scary seeing how fast cars were really going when you're standing still. Today is pretty casual. I'm just wearing one of the shorts I made in my recent DIY. Found these wonderful rose tights I thought I had lost about a year ago and paired it with a pair of edgy looking shoes I recently purchased and was also posted in a previous post. Had to pack luggages of clothing and etc. to move to the apartment. Such a hassle to be honest since I waited till this morning to pack everything instead of doing it in advance. Went snowboarding yesterday so I woke up with a sore body that did not feel like it belonged to me. Horrible feeling! But I managed to push myself out of bed and made myself useful. Classes begins Monday. How exciting it is to meet all of my friends but dreadful for school work.

Just My Cup of Tea

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
These are my favorite new knitted ear warmers! They are very trendy and can be worn two ways. The band is attached by a button and can be detached. They are handmade and is available for purchase. If you are interested, please send me an email at stnguye2@uncg.edu
These pictures were actually taken before Christmas, so before I received my new camera, hence the quality may not be as great. Didn't get to posting them until today.

These are taken just now. I'm currently working on some designs for the THREADS fashion show coming up this Spring. This is probably about the only free time I have because once the semester begins, I'll be a walking zombie.
So as I'm transforming my living room into a studio, I made some yummies! I love tea (hence the title of my blog)! Today, I made some lotus tea , which originated from Vietnam, and enjoyed it with some delicious cinnamon bread made from scratch!
