Get Spotted!

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Yesterday, we went to a warehouse to pick out new carpet replacement for our home and I discovered this cool wall next to it. The wall basically covers everything that was in that warehouse. What a neat and creative way to advertise!

In this outfit, I am wearing a vintage polka-dotted, midi skirt I've found. The biggest thing this summer are sheer blouses and skirts and this skirt was definitely comfortable even in this humid weather. It's probably rare that you will find me wearing a midi skirt just because of my height. I've always adored them so I finally took the risk this time. I think they look great if I pair them with heels.

Also, my little sister is just the cutest thing! She is beginning to form her own style and being her older sister, I get to see her transformation and that's just the greatest thing! I love the splattered paint, off-shoulder shirt she is wearing here. Something fun and young; which is very appropriate for her!

Black & Yellow

This has got to be one of my favorite blazer. I love the military look done in a sophisticated/tailored way. Many of the military looks are related to something edgy and sometimes, destroyed. This is very clean and can be worn casually or formally. Here, I'm dressed for work so I try to dress more work appropriate. One of my favorite aspect of this blazer is the panel that acts as a faux flap pocket which leads all the way to the center back. Also, I am in love with my new blouse that I've purchased. The mustard yellow color and the fabric manipulation in the center front is just superb!

Brighter Than The Sun

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

It has been humidly hot here on this side of the world and you must wonder, then why is she dressed this way? Well, in the office, it is freezing so I try to dress warmer but every time I step outside, I am hit in the face with the fierce heat. So it's hard to dress appropriately because of this. Thank goodness it's the weekend!

In this outfit, I'm wearing one of my favorite blazer. This plaid blazer is really nice and can be paired with lots of things. I've worn them with jeans and shorts before but this time, I've decided to pair it with army green color pants.

Red Light, Green Light

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I'm running a bit late for work so here's a quick update on one of my outfit over the weekend. I just wanted something quick and easy to put on and with minimal makeup. I love this lime green color. It goes well with white or black. Just a simple top but really adds interest to an outfit. If you don't feel like accessorizing too much, just pair your outfit with a bright, fun color and you're set!

Mixing & Matching

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

The one thing most people are afraid of when it comes to denim is pairing them together. It is very tough to find the exact denim jeans to match with a denim jacket or vest because most likely, the wash never matches. My solution to matching is to NOT match! Pairing light denim with dark will actually add an interesting contrast which gives an interesting look. In this outfit, I paired my new, free pair of Wrangler jeans with a vintage vest. Not only can you play with the wash but it's age as well; new vs. old.

I received a free pair of Wrangler denim thanks to VF employee store. This is my first time owning a pair of "Cowgirl Riding Jeans". The fit is great and the quality is top notch. I was a little hesitant at first because I do not ride horses nor do I consider myself a cowgirl but after second thoughts, I wouldn't mind wearing it. As long as the fit is great, I think anything goes!

Also, reserve your pair of my new SA designs denim launching this Fall! Be the first to find out when the jeans go on sale!

First Week

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Here are a couple of photos from my first week of work at VF. I am, strutting in a pair of bell bottoms that I owned back in middle school (yes, I unfortunately do wear the same size). I paired it with my new purchase, a Michael Kors button-up. I actually tucked my shirt in for work but I knot it up afterward, as seen here in the photos. I am also in LOVE with my new Fossil bag. It is perfect for work and school.

The BIG APPLE Overload

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I apologize for the picture overload. If it makes you feel better, this was only a handful out of 2,000+ photos!

I know it has been a long time since I've updated. I haven't had the chance to announce to you all but right after my trip, I started my new internship with VF Corporation. So I haven't really had much time for a break. As I am writing this post, I am leaving myself with less than 4 hours of sleep for work.

New York was truly an eventful trip. I got to visit many places and see many faces. I spent one day meeting with my classmates who are interning in NYC this summer. To think of it, we sort of had a mini THREADS officer meeting in NY! How neat is that ladies?! Victoria Kim, who will be our new President, gave me a tour of Nautica. It was a pleasure seeing what all she does there. Then we met up with Natalie LeDoux, our new VP of Retail, for lunch. After a lovely time in Korea town, I ended up meeting with Kerrie Rogers, our previous President, at Washington Square Park. (Keep an eye out for upcoming features, featuring these lovely ladies). Overall, this trip was worthwhile and I can't wait to return! Thanks to my bf and his relatives for this wonderful trip!
